How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign are a set of clear, removable aligners that gradually reposition your teeth over time. Patients will need to switch out their Invisalign trays every two weeks for an effective treatment. Patients will need to wear their Invisalign trays for at least 22 hours a day for an effective treatment.

How long is the Invisalign treatment?
Typically patients may need Invisalign from anywhere from 12 to 18 months. The length of your treatment will depend on the condition of your teeth.

What issues can Invisalign fix?
Invisalign can be used to address crooked teeth, gapped teeth, underbite, misaligned teeth, and other minor bite issues.

Is Invisalign painful?
Invisalign treatment is not a painful treatment. However, because the teeth are gradually shifting over time, some patients may experience slight discomfort during the early stage of treatment or when they switch trays.

Will I have eating restriction with the Invisalign treatment?
Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign does not require any eating restriction because Invisalign trays can be removed during eating.

How do I clean my teeth during the Invisalign treatment?
Patients can remove their Invisalign trays to brush and floss their teeth. Patients will also be given instructions on how to properly clean their Invisalign trays.
